Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. was established in 1987 as an expansion
of its parent company, Cheng Ya Development & Electric Wire Co., Ltd.,
a company with over a decade of experience in the quality manufacture of
a broad range of electrical wires and PVC flexible cords. In 1994, Standard
Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. was certified as an ISO 9002 quality
assured manufacturer by the British Standards Institution of the U.K. and
the B.C.I.Q. of the Republic of China. In 1995, Standard expanded operations
overseas, establishing both a business office in Hong Kong and a new production
facility in China to more efficiently service international clientele.
Stardard's main product line include power supply cords and cordsets, appliance
wiring materials, heater cords, high voltage automotive cords, soft annealed
copper conductors (tinned or untinned/starded or solid), PVC, CPE, EPDM,
compounds, and more. All Standard products are manufactured to international
and national standards meeting: UL, CSA, CNS, JIS, VDE, SAA, OVE, SEMKO,
KEMA, DEMKO, NEMKO, CEBEC, FIMKO, SEV or IMQ specifications.
