The Cables Division of Usha Martin Industries Limited (formerly known as Usha Beltron Limited) has emerged as a leading manufacturer of jelly-filled underground telecommunication cables in India.
The sophisticated manufacturing facilities, which went on stream in 1998, are located in a 24-acre complex at Tatisilwai, near Ranchi in the state of Bihar in India. The location, chosen for its temperature and dust-free environment is ideal for manufacturing telecommunication cables, which require such surroundings for quality production.
A recipient of the Confederation of Indian Industries Award for sustained productivity in 1994 and 1995, the Company - harnessing technology from KABEL RHEYDT (formerly AEG KABEL), GERMANY, a member of Alcatel Group - is rated as one of the most efficient plants in the country and a benchmark in the industry.
An ISO- 9002 accreditation speaks about the quality commitment to customers. This high achievement record within a short period is due to the strong technical team, trained at KABEL RHEYDT's Works. The initial support provided by them has ensured that UBL Cables are at par with the best International Quality.
The 5.5 Mn Conductor Kilometer Plant includes computer-controlled critical equipments, imported from the International Leaders in cable technology. State-of-the-art equipments combined with technical expertise produce International Quality Jelly Filled Telecommunication Cables.
UBL produces a comprehensive range of telephone cables from 10 to 2400 pairs meeting the requirements of various domestic and international specifications. Apart from this UBL develops special designs to meet customers' specifications. Business Partners
