In terms of market share, this companyis the third largest cable manufacturer in Portugal, being the first oneon the optical fibres.
· I.C.B. is a company devotedto the manufacture of:
- Power Cables, in Copper and Aluminium, up to 500 mm2/36 kV
- Telecommunication Metallic Cablesin Copper up to 4800 wires/cable
- Optical Fibre TelecommunicationCables - Monomode and Multimode
· I.C.B. premises are located inMadalena, V.N. Gaia, 5 Km far from Oporto, just in front of the highwayto Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.
· I.C.B. has a total area of 100.000m2 - industrial 22.000 m2 - drums park 10.000 m2 - offices 2.000 m2, witha work-force of 180 people, including 25% with university degree and highexperienced technicians, who assure a reliable execution of the productionprocess and guarantee the fulfilment of safety regulations.
· I.C.B. has a yearly installedcapacity to produce, regularly and/or with the use of complementary shifts:
- 12.000 HomogenousTons of Power Cables - shift
- 800.000 Pairs/Km of TelecommunicationMetallic Cables - global
- 80.000 Km/year - Shift- Secondary insulation and assembling - Optical Fibre
· Quality System Certification
I.C.B. holds since 1994 the QualitySystem Certificate for ISO 9002 Standard, having evolved to ISO 9001 Standardin October 1996 and is homologated by:
