SunJin's copper rod (SSCR) is gaining attention from domestic and international wire industries as an advanced material. It has a thickness of 8.0mm and is made of electric copper(electric cooper) (99.9% purity). It is used as basic material for a wide variety of industries such as communication wires, electric wires, enamel wires, wires for electric/electronic equipments, wires in ships, and for automobiles.
In the Umsung plant, SunJin has adopted the state-of-the-art continuous casting (SCR) line from Southwire of U.S., equipping the plant with a 135,000 ton production capacity. With the advance technology, we are producing high quality copper rods through flawless quality management.
The 8.0mm copper rod, produced by the above procedure, is drawn into 0.4 -3.2mm soft copper wire or hard copper wire with heavy break down drawing line and medium down wire line. They are packaged in various forms, such as bobbin, carrier, or compact coil, and supplied to wire industries or beverage can manufacturing industries.
We also possess an advanced high-speed buncher, which enables us to employ a customer service system that delivers hard copper soft wire and soft copper soft wire 0.75mm2 ~ 3.8mm2 thick within the shortest period of time possible.
Our production capacity is 25,000 tons/year for large size line (based on 2.6mm) and 5,000 tons/year of medium size lines. And for soft wire line, we possess 630, 800, 1,250 bunchers exclusively for 7softwire.
